HPI Blitz Aluminium Chassis Conversion

Another new design from RadshapeRC™ this aluminium anodised chassis for the HPI Blitz replaces the standard kits plastic tub chassis offering a more robust and better handling Short Course truck to soak up all the highs of Short Course racing. The finished assembly weighs in at 301g, only 86g more than the plastic components 217g, yet offers more structurely sound foundation for the truck eliminating any breakages inherently involved with the jumps and bumps of Short Course. The extra performance LiPO cells and Brushless Motors brings to the class makes this chassis a perfect match for strength and durability that the aluminium chassis has.

Finished in a striking Bright Black Anodise for the sheet aluminium 5051 grade parts and an Gold Anodise for the machined posts and differential mountings. The kit comes in foam packaging with all hex hardware and assembly instructions.

We have now finally packaged the all new aluminium chassis conversion for the Associated SC10. This aluminium anodised chassis for the SC10 replaces the standard kits plastic tub chassis offering a more robust and better handling Short Course truck to soak up all the highs of Short Course racing. The finished assembly weighs in at 290g, only 85g more than the plastic components 205g, yet offers more structurely sound foundation for the truck eliminating any breakages inherently involved with the jumps and bumps of Short Course. The extra performance LiPO cells and Brushless Motors brings to the class makes this chassis a perfect match for strength and durability that the aluminium chassis has.

Finished in a striking Gun Metal Anodise for the sheet aluminium 5051 grade parts and a Blue Anodise for the machined posts and differential mountings. The kit comes in foam packaging with all hex hardware and assembly instructions.

RadshapeRC to exhibit at the South West Model Show 2011

For the second year running we will be exhibiting at the South West Model Engineering, Model Making and Hobbies Exhibition at the Royal Bath and West Show Ground in Shepton Mallet. It is a very exciting exhibition for us this year following our maiden launch of the business last year. Alongside our own range of products we have a number of exciting products that we have sourced such as Bodyshells, LED kits, Motors and Batteries to name a few, all at excellent prices. The icing on the cake is that this year we have been given our very own track space to show off our products and also let the public have a go as well! We’ll also be running a competition each day to set the fastest lap and to win some fantastic prizes. The show runs from 10am – 5pm on Saturday 30th April and Sunday 1st May and from 10am – 4pm on Monday 2nd May. Hope to see you there and please stop by and say hello, we love to chat RC!

Short Course Craze hits the UK

2010 has definately been the year for RC Short Course racing to explode across the globe. The real life door to door high speed racing with jumps, smashes and plenty of sideways action usually reserved for it’s home US market has injected excitement and fun back into RC racing. If you’ve never tried one of these trucks, and if you have but have yet to race them, you really should. The rostrum is alive with laughter and banter, certainly no tense words in this discipline, but a spectacle to behold as you go door to door with other RC Racers.

We have made some reinforcement plates for the Associated SC10 and HPI Blitz with aluminium chassis conversions for both coming early 2011, the Associated due in January.

The below movie is from the first organised Short Course meeting held here in the UK where a team of three from RadshapeRC attended, whilst secretly testing our products.

Tamiya SRB Sand Scorcher and Buggy Champ Parts

The Tamiya Sand Scorcher and Buggy Champ have been massive re-releases for Tamiya this year and our hop-ups have proven popular for this model. It is great to final see, what has been for many, a shelf queen to look at finally being jumped around and thrashed about off road. Nice one Tamiya!

Keep an eye out in the New Year for our latest offering for this model, a longer chassis which goes the full length front to back and protects the rear gearbox with it’s integral underguard.
